The Mancharicou is the gem of the family: more compact, slimmer, with an unconventional silhouette you would recognise among a thousand. Designed to be carried discreetly in its leather sheath, it slips into the pocket of a suit as easily as into a pair of jeans, and is drawn with pride at the table.
Its D2 blade delivers the same edge retention as the larger models. The handle is where the Mancharicou stands apart: precious wood from Burkina Faso (shea, ebony, padauk, selected root woods) and, on damascus versions, a small silver fish inlaid in the handle, the workshop's signature, at no extra cost. As every knife is assembled to order in the Thiers workshop, materials are chosen directly with the cutler at the quote stage.

- What options are available on the Mancharicou?
- The handle comes in precious wood from Burkina Faso: shea, ebony, padauk or selected root woods. Damascus versions receive a small inlaid silver fish, the workshop's signature, at no extra cost. Like every Résiliant, the piece is made to order: materials and finish are decided with the cutler at the quote stage.
- Is the Mancharicou suited to discreet carry?
- Yes, that is its whole purpose: more compact and slimmer than the other Résiliants, carried in its leather sheath, it takes up no room and goes unnoticed until the moment you draw it at the table.
- How do I care for a precious-wood handle?
- The D2 blade only needs wiping and a regular pass on a butcher's steel, medium-cut; the stone only comes back once the edge has truly suffered. The wood, for its part, likes to stay dry and away from heat sources; the vegetable-tanned leather sheath is its best home for everyday carry.
- Can I have my knife re-sharpened by the workshop?
- Yes. Any knife that has left the workshop can be sent back for its edge to be re-established, free of charge: only shipping remains down to its owner. Please get in touch before sending anything.
