The Fhiers is a tribute. Its name crosses the French word « fier » (proud) with Thiers, the town that has forged France's knives for seven centuries along the Durolle river. Becoming an artisan cutler in Thiers demanded the best of Le Résiliant; this model salutes the generations of grinders and fitters who passed the craft down to him.
It is also the most personal of the Résiliants: the steel is chosen on request. Carbon, semi-stainless or damascus, handle and finish: the piece is defined directly with the cutler at the quote stage, the way orders were once placed in the workshops of the valley. A way of owning a piece of Thiers, crafted by the book.

- It is a contraction of the French word « fier » (proud) and Thiers. The model pays tribute to the generations of Thiers cutlers who passed their know-how down to Le Résiliant, in the town that has forged French blades for seven centuries.
- Which steel for the Fhiers?
- The steel is chosen on request: carbon, semi-stainless or damascus, depending on the piece you have in mind. It is the most customisable of the Résiliants; blade, handle and finish are defined directly with the cutler at the quote stage.
- How long does it take to receive a Fhiers?
- As every Fhiers is defined and assembled to order, the lead time depends on the workshop's order book and on the chosen options; it is announced and confirmed at the quote stage, directly with the cutler.
- Can I have my knife re-sharpened by the workshop?
- Yes. Any knife that has left the workshop can be sent back for its edge to be re-established, free of charge: only shipping remains down to its owner. Please get in touch before sending anything.
