A blade that opens against the current
Where every other knife opens forward, the Résiliant goes the other way. A reverse-opening mechanism, designed and tuned by hand, that exists nowhere else.
“In my creations I look for beauty, the kind that should live in each of us. I look for precision, in pursuit of an ideal. All my customers carry a piece of me, in a leather sheath.”

The 2.0 · tuned in the viseFrom the everyday knife to the one-of-a-kind piece

Born in Thiers, forged by hardship
“Having overcome a long and painful illness, I realised how fragile, short and precious life is. I wanted to leave something behind from my time on earth. That is when the idea came to me: a knife with a reverse opening.”
With no formal training but fierce determination, welcomed by the knifemakers of the Thiers region, he learned the craft. The first orders came through social media, from Belgium, the United States and Switzerland. The die was cast.
Discover the journeyFrom idea to object, in four movements
The drawing
From sketch to templates: cardboard, plastic, then metal. Every shape is proven before the first spark flies.
The steel
D2, carbon, damascus. Cryogenic tempering for outstanding resistance to wear and oxidation.
The assembly
Tuning, fitting, polishing. The reverse-opening mechanism demands hours of fine adjustment, by hand.
The leather sheath
A French-made leather sheath, stitched to measure, is chosen with every knife: plain, or with a coloured inlay matched to the handle.

A workshop in Thiers, the world's knife capital
Le Résiliant works at 15 rue Alexandre Dumas in Thiers, the town that has supplied France with its knives for seven centuries along the Durolle river. There, among templates, files and stones, every reverse-opening knife is designed, assembled and tuned by hand.
The workshop welcomes visitors by appointment: people come to collect their knife, to discuss a custom piece, or simply to watch a blade come to life in the purest tradition of Thiers cutlery.
