The Tracker is the middle-ground Résiliant: a mid-range budget, without giving up anything on cutting quality or on the mechanism. Like every model in the collection, its reverse opening is assembled and tuned by hand in Thiers; its French leather sheath, stitched to measure, plain or with a coloured inlay matched to the handle, is chosen with the piece, at the quote stage.
Its 14C28N blade, a modern stainless steel refined for cutlery, also receives a cryogenic treatment that tightens the grain of the steel and extends edge retention. The blade finish is chosen when ordering, at the quote stage, to your taste. A working knife, enduring and easy to live with, that asks only for a regular pass on a butcher's steel, medium-cut; the stone only comes out once the edge has truly suffered. A damascus version is also available at the quote stage, for the same mid-range format with a blade of one-of-a-kind patterns.
Le Tracker: the reverse opening, filmed in the Thiers workshop.
- What does the cryogenic treatment of 14C28N bring?
- A pass at very low temperature that tightens the steel's structure: the edge lasts longer and the blade resists wear better. The Tracker thus keeps its edge with nothing more than a regular pass on a butcher's steel.
- Which blade finishes are available?
- The finish is chosen when you place the order: the available options are presented at the quote stage, directly with the cutler, according to the look and the use you are after.
- Who is the Tracker for?
- For anyone who wants a working Résiliant on a mid-range budget: a hand-tuned reverse-opening mechanism, an enduring modern stainless steel or a damascus blade at the quote stage, a made-to-measure leather sheath, without the Archétype's collector positioning or the demands of carbon blades.
- Can I have my knife re-sharpened by the workshop?
- Yes. Any knife that has left the workshop can be sent back for its edge to be re-established, free of charge: only shipping remains down to its owner. Please get in touch before sending anything.
